Teens face sex-abuse  charges at high school

Three teenage boys who allegedly coerced a 16-year-old into performing oral sex in a Lincoln Park High School stairwell face misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse charges.

Prosecutors alleged four boys threatened to beat up the girl’s friend if she did not comply when they cornered her on Tuesday afternoon at the North Side school on the 2000 block of North Orchard.

Jewvon Davis, a 19-year-old student at the school, appeared in court on Sunday and was ordered held on bail of $5,000 by Judge Peggy Chiampas.

Davis, who goes by “J.D.” and who lives in the 1300 block of North Cleveland, turned himself in, according to a police report.

Another 19-year-old, Kenneth Esco, of the 1400 block of North Sedgwick, and a 17-year-old who authorities are not naming because he is a juvenile, were both also charged with misdemeanors.

It’s not clear from police and prosecutor accounts who the fourth boy is.

The Cook County state’s attorney declined to press felony charges against all three boys who were charged with misdemeanors, prosecutors said in court Sunday.
