Convinced your romance is no fluke? Consider popping the question surrounded by the canaries of the sea.
For $450, the Shedd Aquarium is offering a private Beluga Encounter Proposal Package for two, with an optional $50 upgrade for strawberries, champagne and a private lunch. The engagement encounters, which include personal moments in a private pool with not only your lover but the aquarium’s iconic beluga whales, start on Feb. 10 and are available at 10 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Couples are also invited to compete for a free encounter by submitting their love stories to sheddaquarium.org/lovestory by Monday.
