A 19-year-old man was charged with fatally stabbing a Logan Square man Saturday night near his Northwest Side home, officials said.
Kristopher Klimala, 19, of the 2000 block of South Western, was charged with murdering Linear Caballero, 21, in the 2400 block of North Armitage, officials said.
Caballero was stopped in traffic in a car his girlfriend was driving when a Klimala allegedly walked up and the two began arguing about 6 p.m., police said.
Klimala allegedly stabbed Caballero several times in the neck and in the leg as he started to get out of the vehicle, police said. Many other cars were nearby at the busy intersection of Western and Armitage a when the alleged attack happened.
“Apparently they had a run-in prior and it looks like that may have stemmed from that prior incident,” police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
Klimala is scheduled to appear in bond court later Tuesday.
