Man fatally shoots himself at Schaumburg bar

(SCHAUMBURG) A man talking to police fatally shot himself in the parking lot of a sports bar Sunday night in northwest suburban Schaumburg, police said.

Two officers were talking to the man in the parking lot of the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery at 1140 E. Higgins Rd. when he fatally shot himself sometime after 10:30 p.m., Schaumburg police Sgt. John Nebl said late Sunday.

Michael Cicci, 27, of 140 Patricia Ln. in Palatine, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:49 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examier’s office.

Schaumburg police are investigating.
