Elmwood Park Police are investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found in a home in the west suburb.
The bodies of a 19-year-old man and a man in his 50s were found in a home in Elmwood Park, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. There was no indication of what may have caused their deaths.
Police responded to a 911 call about two men not breathing in the 2400 block of 73rd Court, according to a release from Elmwood Park police. Responding officers found two men dead at the scene.
“There was no forced entry and no sign of foul play,” Elmwood Park Police Chief Frank Fagiano said in the release. “Until the Cook County Medical Examiner conducts an autopsy on the bodies, we won’t know the exact cause of death.”
Fagiano said the two men appeared to be related, but their identities would not be released pending family notification, the release said.
Fagiano also said officers found what appeared to be an illegal substance inside the home, but that tests would have to be conducted to determine what it is.
