Applications to Northwestern hit new high

Northwestern University says applications to the school have hit an all-time high for the ninth consecutive year, with 31,991 applications for the class of 2016.That’s up 3.5 percent over last year, university officials said Wednesday, and nearly double the number Northwestern got in 2005 (16,228).
