A DNA hit led to charges against a Chicago woman accused of kidnapping a 50-year-old woman, beating her and leaving her with a broken nose last year in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood, police said.
The kidnapping happened on Feb. 6, 2011 in the 700 block of South Karlov Avenue. A DNA hit from a liquor bottle in the victim’s car led to the charges nearly a year later.

Schram is accused of kidnapping the 50-year-old woman. At some point during the kidnapping, Schram hit the woman, causing lacerations to her head. The victim also suffered a broken nose, police said.
Schram was ordered held on $50,000 bond on Monday, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office. She’ll appear for a preliminary hearing Jan. 20.
