Emmett Till's original casket
As Cook County Sheriff's police investigated the hundreds of bodies that were removed from grave sites at the historic Burr Oak Cemetery and dumped in a mass grave, they were told the original casket of Emmett Till was inside a shack at the cemetery. The casket will now be moved to the Smithsonian.
The original coffin of Emmett Till was found at Burr Oak Cemetery Thursday afternoon inside a shack surrounded by garbage and discarded headstones.
