THE TRUMP INTERNATIONAL Hotel & Tower Chicago on North Wabash is a fabulous jewel that has settled down for good in the heart of this great city, and the shine is just blinding.
VIOLENCE IN CHI TOWN: IN MY OPINION, parents should be given back the power to discipline their kids and teens without being afraid they will call the police and have the parents arrested for no good reason.
I ASKED THE REV. MIKE PFLEGER, a community activist whom I hold in high regard, to give me a personal quote regarding the violence that is permeating the black community:
THE QUESTION raised by media and some interviewers on the campaign trail that bothers me the most in the battle between Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton: Depending on who wins, will you consider the other for your running mate?
THE POLICE SHOOTING and killing of that big cougar that roamed around in the Roscoe Village area the other day made plenty of sense to me. It is bad enough when you hear about pit bulls attacking folks on the street that result in horrible injuries and in some cases, death. So congrats to the cops for a job well done.
A BUSH ALERT: My sources are now telling me that first lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna Bush will be signing their new book Read All About It only at the Naperville North High School auditorium at 7 p.m. April 28. They will not be signing at the Anderson's Bookshop . . . but the Bookshop is sponsoring the signing, and it is a ticketed event. The $25 ticket price includes a book and can be purchased at the Bookshop in Naperville or Downers Grove.
