T HE SCOOP: The dapper and forever young Gov. Patrick Quinn celebrates his 63rd birthday Friday and on Monday will fly to Germany where he will visit Illinois servicemembers at the Ramstein Air Base, as well as host a holiday dinner for them on Tuesday at the Romano’s Macaroni Grill on the base.

Quinn will also visit the wounded soldiers at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and the Warrior Center housed on the base.

This is a trip that he’s been making for the past few years to show heartwarming support for our service men and women.

“The duty of all of us on the homefront is to take good care of those who have borne the battle,” Quinn told this columnist. “And everyone should visit our website, operationhomefront.org, and find a way to help our soldiers. I am also taking boxloads of homemade Christmas cards from the students of Illinois for the servicemembers.”

The gov also told me that his son David Quinn, a software exec, shares the same birthday with his dad and will turn 27.

AND congrats to Quinn’s deputy chief of staff Toni Irving on his recent Champion for Change in Juvenile Justice award from the Models for Change organization.

RADARONLINE recently reported that Robbie Powell, 23, who allegedly is the “real father” of Mariah Yeater’s so-called Justin Bieber baby, was arrested Nov. 26 on drug and burglary charges in San Diego. Yeater is the unemployed and broke 20-year-old single mom who filed a paternity lawsuit against Bieber, claiming he is the father of her baby son, Tristyn, which the Bieb denies.

Yeater recently dropped her paternity lawsuit. But local attorney Jeffery Leving, who claims to still represent her, is still pushing for a DNA test. He told this reporter, “As of this date, Justin Bieber’s attorney has not sent me confirmation that his client took a DNA test. And I will be flying out to California the first week of January.” (And I say this case is a pitiful scam.)

By the way, Leving joined a small group of Latino movers & shakers, including actor John Leguizamo, who had dinner with President Obama on Nov. 30 in New York to discuss getting out the Latino vote.
