A HOT TICKET! THE VERY funny and entertaining Jay Leno, host of “The Tonight Show,” will have folks cracking up with laughter when he brings his “An Evening of Laughs with Jay Leno” show presented by Allstate to the Cadillac Palace theater for one night only April 28. The evening will benefit Omni Youth Services, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. A Second City comedy group is the opening act, and WTMX radio’s Eric Ferguson will emcee.

Omni provides services to at-risk youth in crisis through counseling and programs for teens and their families. The proceeds will go to Omni’s Girls After School Program, reality theater and the Outdoor Wilderness Therapy/Adventure program. Tickets are available at www.omniyouth.org.

THE LEGAL AGENDA: Congrats to local attorneys Tim Cavanagh, Bill Daley (the mayor’s brother, now the president’s chief of staff), Jack Hagerty and Dan McMahon on making the “Irish Legal 100” list of top Irish lawyers across the country recently published by the Irish Voice newspaper. Others on the list include Vice President Joe Biden and Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. The group was honored at the home of Irish Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Collins in Washington, D.C. This is quite an honor for hardworking Cavanagh, who has two sets of triplets under age 6. Whew!

ABOUT TOWN: Riveting songbirds Jennifer Holliday and Heather Headley recently had their hair coiffed by local hairstylist Rahni at his Van Cleef Hair Studio. Rahni for many years styled first lady Michelle Obama’s lovely locks. . . . The Hawks’ coach Joel Quenneville dined at Quay, the eatery that was recently featured on the new “Chef Hunter” show on the Food Network (I was on that show) . . . Jeff (“Jackass”) Tremaine relaxed at Butch McGuire’s . . . Singer/songwriter Tori Amos dined at Morton’s Steakhouse on State . . . The Hawks’ Patrick Kane ate at Mastro’s and on a separate evening, the Bears’ Israel Idonije and Julius Peppers dined.

BUSINESS NEWS: Congrats to Chicago’s Michelle Flowers, who celebrated the 20th anniversary of her successful Flowers Communications agency by hosting a fabulous bash at the Sofitel Hotel. The elegant affair brought out many of Our Town’s movers & shakers, who danced the night away. During her speech, her hubby of three years, Anthony Welch, was overcome with emotion and ran on stage to give his bride a big hug . . . Chartwells-Thompson Hospitality presented business awards to Eric Thomas of T&T Foodservice, Shari Wilson of Balton Corp. and Amy Hilliard and her Comfort Cake Company as part of their minority/women-owned business enterprise program. Chartwells supplies food to 473 Chicago Public Schools.

THE MUSIC SET: Tionne (“No Scrubs”) Watkins, best known as T-Boz from the multi-Grammy/platinum award winning TLC singing trio of the ’90s that also included Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, reportedly has filed for bankruptcy. . . . While the infamous Dr. Conrad Murray does time in jail for involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop star Michael Jackson, Mike’s brother, Tito Jackson, 58, plans to marry his longtime sweetie, fitness expert Sonia Galindo, next year . . . Actor Terrence (“Red Tails”)Howard’s estranged wife of less than a year, Michelle Ghent, is accusing him of beating her. If so, good thing she left him!

CURTAINS UP: “A Christmas Story, The Musical” opens Wednesday at the Chicago Theatre, the O’Jays will be there New Year’s Eve and the hilarious Kathy Griffin on Jan. 20-21 . . . The forever tan George Hamilton stars in “La Cage Aux Folles” at the Bank of America Theater starting Dec. 20.

REV. JESSE Jackson is currently in England, where he will receive an honorary degree from the De Montfort University and deliver a speech for their “Roots of Violent Radicalisation Conference Tuesday. The Rev. Al Sharpton will speak at the Rainbow PUSH Founder’s Day celebration Saturday.
