T HE SCOOP: THE VERY popular sweet-tooth king, Bartolo “Buddy” Valastro Jr. a k a The Cake Boss and owner of the famous Carlos Bakery in New Jersey, is coming here with his talented team of bakers to participate and film a TLC “Cake Boss” episode at the private grand opening June 30 of the new Perillo Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Gold Coast dealership at 834 North Rush St.

Balastro, who is a good friend of the Joe Perillo family, is also creating a huge delicious cake rumored to be the size of a small car that will be shipped here in a refrigerated truck from Jersey for the festivities and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Secretary of State Jesse White will be attending. The Cake Boss and his family are featured in the current InTouch weekly mag.

JUST IN: A reliable source told this columnist that friends gathered on Saturday evening at 85-year-old Hugh Hefner’s mansion in L.A. to show “love and support of Hef and all expressed the fact that this was a blessing in disguise.” The blessing is that Hef’s 25-year-old fiancee, Crystal Harris, canceled what was supposed to be their wedding day Saturday, and instead was at a pool party in Vegas. Saturday is always “Movie Night” at the Mansion, so Hef’s movie choice was “Runaway Bride” starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts out in 1999. Yes, that was his choice!

JUDICIAL STUFF: U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, while in town, dined with Judge Ruben Castillo at Cafe 28
. . . The Cook County Bar Association will honor Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to President Barack Obama, with the J. Ernest Wilkins award at the 97th Installation Banquet Friday at the Marriott Hotel . . . The Decalogue Society of Lawyers will give a Lifetime Achievement award to 85-year-old political icon Abner Mikva at their 77th annual meeting Thursday at the Union League Club. Judge Robert Gordon receives their Founders award . . . Local real estate attorney John G. Locallo has been inducted as the 135th president of the Illinois State Bar Association . . . Attorney Ernesto “Bill Busters” Borges is the cover story on N’Digo mag out on Thursday.

MORE JUDICIAL: There will be a private reception at Chicago State U. for the unveiling of the art collection of the late Judge R. Eugene Pincham and his wife, Alzata, on Thursday. Also, transcripts, books, papers, etc., from his 50 years as a lightning rod for justice will be archived at the school.

A STELLAR REMINDER: THE Rainbow PUSH Women’s Luncheon is Wednesday at the Chicago Hilton and Towers with WLS-Channel 7’s Cheryl Burton emceeing. This columnist is among the esteemed honorees. Respected civil rights leader the Rev. Willie Taplin Barrow will also be saluted, and the first annual Willie T. Barrow Freedom award will be presented to Annette Rainwater, the president emeritus of the Detroit Chapter of the National Congress of Black Women who is also the adopted mom of TV’s Judge Greg Mathis . . . WBBM-Channel 2’s Bill Kurtis hosting the Lincoln Park Village benefit today at the Chicago History Museum at 7 p.m.

ABOUT TOWN: The Giants’ David Diehl dined at Alex Dana’s Rosebud Steakhouse on Walton, and on another evening, WVON Radio’s Melody Spann Cooper ate hearty with Nielsen Corp. exec Cheryl Pearson-McNeil at the Rosebud on Dearborn. McNeil is also doing a weekly “Consumer Corner” show with Matt McGill for the station on Tuesdays. . . . Comedy Central comic Jeff Ross chowed down at Carmine’s . . . State Sen. Kirk Dillard and wife, Stephanie, celebrated their anniversary at the Trump Tower’s Sixteen eatery
