The current bill SB1673, I feel would be an unfair shift to local school districts and would be to expensive for their districts. Ultimatley this would be an unfair burden on taxpayers who have already seen their property tax bill sky rocketed with no relief in site.

I believe the pension systems need reform or else the system's will not be sustainable in the future. The heavy cost to our budget are troublesome and we must resolve this problem in order to maintain a balanced budget. We need to include union's representing the system to be active participants or else a law pass will be challenged in court and we will still have this unfunded mandate on our budget.

I supported the Medicaid reform package minus the cigarette tax. We need to implement this plan as to insure our budget stability.

I did not support the income tax increase and have been on record to let it expire in 2014.

I believe we need to still pass meaningful worker's compensations, The previous bill doesn't go far enough and makes us less competitive to our neighboring states. Any negative changes to our buisiness both large and small will not help Illinois crawl out of this recession.

We need to fully implement our medicaid reforms which will help our current and future budgets. I believe we need to see more state investments for small businesses which will help the State of Illinois recieve more tax revenues.
