Who are the only people hoping the Chicago Teacher Union strike never ends? The kids! At least, that’s the premise of this Jest.com video spoof.
In the video, kids are on a mission to dissolve the strike resolution and “strike forever!” as they enthusiastically suggest. The kids introduce themselves to a room full of striking teachers as “full-grown adults” and even don fake mustaches and trench coats to look the part. Their plan is almost foiled when the adults’ union notes are written in cursive, but these kids are crafty. Using an allowance analogy, they convince the teachers to continue their strike.
Seems the tactic may have worked in real life -- the Chicago Teacher Union just announced that there will be no class on Friday.
