Two critically wounded in Humboldt Park shooting

Two people were critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday morning in the Humboldt Park area on the Near Northwest Side.
The shooting occurred about 10:35 a.m. on the 3300 block of West North Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
Two males were wounded, Mirabelli said. Their ages were not known as of about 12:30 p.m.
Both victims were taken in serious to critical condition, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Rich Rosado. One was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital; the other to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Police did not have details on the circumstances of the shooting, which Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
