Woman found shot to death in West Englewood

A woman was found shot to death early Thursday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
The woman, who appears to be in her mid-20s to mid-30s, was found shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday on the ground in the 5700 block of South Loomis Boulevard, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabellli said.
The woman remains unidentified Saturday afternoon, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
An autopsy Friday determined she died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
She was found dead in an alley near 5712 S. Ada St., according to the medical examiner’s office.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
