Five shot in Humbolt Park on West Side

Five men were shot Thursday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side.

Two men remained in critical condition early Friday morning after being shot shortly after 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1100 North Keystone Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines, citing preliminary information.

One man was shot in the neck and was transported in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Gaines said.

A second was shot multiple times and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is also in critical condition, he said.

Three others were taken in good condition to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center: one with a gunshot to the foot, one to the arm, and one with a graze wound to the head, Gaines said.

The victims’ ages were not known Friday morning, but they are all adults, police said.
