Cops: Naperville area man turns to burglary to pay for college

A Naperville-area man who told authorities he turned to burglary to help finance his college education is free on $3,000 bail, awaiting trial, after being charged iwth breaking in to two vehicles near his home.

Bret B. Hruby, 24, faces two felony burglary charges.

The break-ins occurred July 2 in the Tamarack Fairways area of unincorporated Will County near Naperville’s far southwest side, where Hruby lives, said Kathy Hoffmeyer, spokeswoman for Will County Sheriff Paul Kaupas.

She said when he was arrested, Hruby “stated that he was finding items to sell to pay for college.”
