An 18-year-old man and two teens were charged Wednesday with firing shots at a home in west suburban Montgomery early Tuesday.
At least one person in a vehicle opened fire on a home in the 2800 block of Frances Lane about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to Montgomery Police.
Residents of the home chased the vehicle to Route 31 and Route 30, where the vehicles crashed, police said.
The shooters’ vehicle kept going but it was stopped by police a couple of blocks from the crash scene. The man and teenagers were taken into custody, according to police.
Saul Muro, 18, of west suburban Boulder Hill, was charged with two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, police said Wednesday. Muro was being held in the Kane County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
A 17-year-old Aurora boy was charged as a juvenile with two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm; and a 17-year-old Boulder Hill boy was charged with unlawful contact with a gang member, a violation of a juvenile probation warrant, police said. The Aurora boy was being held at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center, and the Boulder Hill teen was sent to the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles.
Police said they recovered a weapon thought to have been used in the shooting and shell casings outside the home.
No one was reported injured, and the investigation was continuing, police said.
