Man robbed, stabbed in face in Englewood near Red Line

Two men were in custody after they allegedly stabbed and robbed a person near a Red Line CTA station early Friday in the Englewood neighborhood.

About 4 a.m., a male, whose age was not immediately known, was in the 200 block of West 63rd Street near a Red Line CTA stattion when two men approached, robbed him and then stabbed him in the face, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.

The victim’s condition or hospital information was not immediately known.

The attack happened near the 63rd Street CTA station but it was not immediately clear if the attack happened on a train or platform, Sullivan said.
