A 21-year-old driver was shot and killed early Friday on the Northwest Side while he was stopped at a red light in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.
Saul Salgado was gunned down about 4:05 a.m. Friday in his car in the 5600 block of West Fullerton, authorities said.
He was stopped at the light when another car pulled up and a gunman inside opened fire, authorities said.
Salgado, of the 2100 block of North Laramie, was shot multiple times in the side of his chest and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died about 5:05 a.m., authorities said.
No one was in custody. Area North detectives were investigating.
