A man who was shot to death in his apartment in the Austin neighborhood was murdered, an autopsy determined Tuesday.
A friend found Gregory Daniel, 48, about 9:45 p.m. Monday on the bedroom floor in his apartment in the 5300 block of West Adams Street with gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen, authorities said.
He was pronounced dead early Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The autopsy found that Daniels had died of a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Daniel had not been in contact with friends or family for two days before he was found, authorities said.
No one was in custody. Area North detectives were investigating.
