A Far South Side man was charged with shooting a 30-year-old man in an argument over a cellphone early Sunday in the West Pullman neighborhood.

LeTroy Fields, 34, was charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shooting in the 11600 block of South Harvard, Chicago Police News Affairs said.

Fields and the man were on the porch of a home after a party when they started arguing about Fields’ cellphone, police said.

Fields allegedly pulled out a gun about 1:30 a.m. and shot the man multiple times, police said. The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Fields, of the 12000 block of South Wentworth, was scheduled to appear at a bond hearing Tuesday, according to police News Affairs.
