Two teenagers have been charged in what prosecutors said Saturday was a gang-related killing last month on the South Side.

Anthony Wells, 18, and Omar Gunn, 17, were identified by witnesses who saw them take off their hoodies and take out a gun after the Sept. 13 shooting, Cook County prosecutors said,

They said Wells served as lookout while Gunn chased 18-year-old Jaleel Pearson in to a store in the 2200 block of East 71st Street and shot him twice.

Pearson’s killers were rival gang members, according to prosecutors.

Wells, of the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, cried in court when Cook County Circuit Judge Israel Desierto ordered him held on $500,000 bail.

Gunn was denied bail.
