Updated: October 12, 2013 6:37PM

An attack on a woman who was jogging in Arlington Heights on Friday was the second such attack in three weeks in the northwest suburb.

The police say the woman was jogging near Hintz and Haddow around 5:30 a.m. Friday when a thin man about 6 feel tall wearing dark clothing grabbed her and forced her to the ground. They say she “struggled briefly,” then a passerby came to her aid, and the man ran off.

Another woman was attacked while jogging around 6 a.m. Sept. 26 at Lake Arlington Park, according to the police.
