Woman dies of injuries after West Side shooting

A woman wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon on the West Side has died.

Lakeisha Tate, 28, was shot about 1:40 p.m. Monday in the 3300 block of West Harrison, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Tate, of the 300 block of South Hamlin, was shot in the abdomen and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
