1 man shot to death, 1 injured in Chatham neighborhood

One man was fatally shot and another man wounded in the same block Sunday night in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
A 36-year-old man was shot in the foot about 9:50 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Normal, Chicago Police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital.
A short time later, police said a 20-year-old man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound in his chest in the same block. The man was dead on the scene, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office could not confirm the death.
It was not clear whether the two shootings were related.
Area South detectives were investigating.
