A 34-year-old former Aurora man was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting a young child he knew over the course of two and a half years.

A Kane County jury found Jason Miller, of Serena, guilty of four counts of felony criminal sexual abuse. The jury deliberated for about two hours before determining Miller was guilty of having sexual contact with the child at his Aurora home between Aug. 10, 2008, and Jan. 19, 2012.

Prosecutors said the victim was 13 at the time.

Judge James Hallock set Miller’s next court appearance for 2:30 p.m. Sept. 6 for motions and sentencing. Miller could receive probation or three to seven years in prison, prosecutors said.
