Man dies hours after West Pullman shooting

A 23-year-old man who was shot Monday night in the West Pullman neighborhood died early Tuesday.
Dovone Jackson, of the 11600 block of South Eggleston, was shot in the abdomen about 9:15 p.m. Monday near 117th and Normal, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Authorities think the shooting may have been a domestic-related incident, but no one was in custody as of Tuesday night, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.
Area South detectives were investigating.
