A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side late Sunday, police said.
He was shot in the left eye on the street near 76th and Greenwood, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The man was dead at the scene, Alfaro said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the death.
No one was in custody. Area South detectives were investigating.
