Man charged in fatal shooting in Englewood

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of another man Saturday night in Englewood.
Stanford Thompson, 25, was charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Eugene Clark, 25, in the 7100 block of South Ashland, Chicago Police said.
Clark, of the 7900 block of South Karlov, was shot about 11:30 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 1:42 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Thompson was scheduled to appear in bond court Monday.
