Man held in lieu of $250k on sex trafficking charges

A south suburban man was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bail Saturday for allegedly prostituting a teen runaway.

Vice Unit officers from the Cook County Sheriff’s police following a tip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a missing teen girl involved in prostitution discovered Internet ads featuring photos of the girl, a release from the Cook County Sheriff’s office said.

Sheriff’s police took Neal E. Price, of Olympia Fields, into custody at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, the release said.

Price, 22, had the missing teen with him when he was arrested, the release said. They also found a fully-loaded semi-automatic pistol in the trunk of his vehicle.

Price faces charges of promoting juvenile prostitution, promoting prostitution, possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card and possession of ammunition without a valid FOID card.
