A former North Aurora man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Tuesday for sexually abusing a boy at his west suburban home.

Associate Judge Clint Hull sentenced Darrell E. Beck, 46, according to a release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s office. Hull convicted Beck Jan. 4 of one count of criminal sexual assault.

Beck, of Downstate Champaign, had sexual contact with a boy under 13, whom he knew, between Oct. 24, 2006, and June 26, 2007, in his North Aurora home, according to the state’s attorney’s office.

Beck must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence. He was given credit for at least 68 days served in the Kane County Jail.
