15-year-old hit multiple times in South Side shooting

A 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times and seriously injured Thursday night in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
He was standing outside in the 100 block of West 73rd Street about 8:50 p.m. Thursday when a gunman walked up and opened fire, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was shot in shot in the abdomen, finger and face and was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Lawn, Alfaro said.
No one was in custody. Area South detectives were investigating.
