Police issued an alert Thursday warning Gold Coast neighborhood businesses about a recent string of overnight burglaries.
The burglars forcibly entered closed stores in late evening and early morning hours, according to the alert from Area Central detectives.
Burglaries happened overnight on April 17-18 and April 23-24 in the 0-100 block of East Elm Street, police said.
Police advised business owners to keep perimeters well-lighted and doors and windows secure and to immediately repair broken locks.
Anyone with information should contact detectives at (312) 747-8384.
