Bond set at $250,000 for man charged in police-involved shooting

Charges were filed against a man who allegedly pointed a gun at police this weekend in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.
Donte Kenney, 26, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated assault of a police officer, police said.
An officer shot him once in the chest after he allegedly pointed a gun at police during a foot chase about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 8500 block of South Rhodes, police said.
His bail was set at $250,000, though he remained hospitalized.
His next court date was set for April 19.
