GLENDALE HEIGHTS — Police in west suburban Glendale Heights are asking for the public’s help in finding the man who robbed a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint early Tuesday.
About 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, the man entered the 7-Eleven at 1408 Bloomingdale Road in Glendale Heights brandishing a semi-automatic pistol, a release from Glendale Heights police said. He demanded money and left the store after the clerk handed him an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect appeared to have run south toward Armitage Avenue, police said.
The robber was described as a white or Hispanic man, 22 to 25 years old, who spoke in clear English, police said. He was between 6 feet and 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, and wore a black ski mask, gloves, a brown “Southpole” hooded jacket with a white stripe down the sleeves, and black jeans.
