Man shot in thigh in Austin

A man was shot early Friday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The shooting occurred about 12:05 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Massasoit, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
The 26-year-old man was taken in serious but stable condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with a gunshot wound to the right thigh, police said.
Police said detectives were having a difficult time investigating the shooting because the 26-year-old man refused to cooperate.
No one was in custody early Friday.
