2 men wounded in shooting in South Chicago neighborhood

Two men were wounded in a Thursday afternoon shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The men, ages 18 and 22, were shot about 6:10 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Manistee, police said.
The 22-year-old was shot in the chest or head and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said. The 18-year-old man was shot in the ankle and taken to South Shore Hospital in good condition.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
In an apparently unrelated shooting also on 80th Street, Dantario White, 33, of the 8000 block of South Bishop Street, was killed Thursday afternoon drive-by shooting about six miles west in the 1400 block of West 80th Street.
Area South detectives were investigating the shootings.
