Man shot in leg in Irving Park neighborhood

A man was shot in the leg Wednesday night in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The shooting happened about 11:40 p.m. in the 3300 block of North Springfield, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said, citing preliminary information.
The man, thought to be in his 30s, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Greer said. His condition was not immediately available.
No one was in custody. Area North detectives were investigating.
