Man critically injured in South Side shooting

A 33-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting Wednesday night on the South Side.
The man was in the 5900 block of South LaSalle Street when a shooter got out of a van and opened fire, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
The suspect got back in the van and drove off southbound on LaSalle, Greer said.
The man was shot in the abdomen and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, Greer said.
No one was in custody. Area Central detectives were investigating.
