Police warn of overnight burglaries, home invasions on Southwest Side

Police have issued an alert to Southwest Side residents about a series of burglaries that have taken place in the overnight hours in recent days, including one in which a victim was sexually assaulted.
The offender in the reported incidents enters homes or garages during the overnight hours while victims are at home, then steals items from the home. In one instance, a victim was sexually assaulted in her home, police said.
Incidents occurred on March 30 and 31 in the:
◆ 5200 block of South Nagle Avenue
◆ 6000 block of South Narragansett Avenue
◆ 5200 block of South Narragansett
◆ 6000 block of South Nagle.
