Man stabbed on CTA Red Line platform on Near North side


A 35-year-old man was stabbed about 8:12 p.m. Monday at the North/Clybourn stop on the CTA’s Red Line, Chicago Police said.

The victim was standing the platform at the station in the 1500 block of North Clybourn Avenue when he was stabbed, police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said. His injury did not appear to be life-threatening, Ursitti said.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
