Police seek help in finding suspect in 2 Marquette Park sexual assaults

Police were asking for the public’s help in finding a man thought to be responsible for the sexual assaults of a 15-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman about a week apart in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the South Side.
The most recent attack was at 10:20 p.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of South Campbell. The attacker, who was armed with a knife, approached the 15-year-old girl from behind, forced her into an alley and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The same man is thought to be responsible for an attack on an 18-year-old woman about 6:30 a.m. on March 7, in the 2400 block of West 65th Street. The girl was walking toward Western when the man approached her from behind with a knife, forced her into an alley and sexually assaulted her.
