A man from the Old Town neighborhood has been charged for his alleged role in a Red Line CTA train attack.
Cameron Griggs, 19, of the 1300 block of N. Hudson, is being held in lieu of $90,000 bail after his arrest Friday for aggravated battery at 15 W. 69th.
Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Rusch said Griggs was with four other males who attacked two females and a male on the train.
Another man punched one female in the mouth four times, Rusch said, and attacked another female after she pushed the emergency button on the train.
Rusch also said one of the assailants hit a man in the head with a gun before Griggs punched and kicked that man.
He said Griggs was spotted getting onto the train at 47th, and he fled with the other suspects at 69th.
