One dead, two wounded in weekend shootings

One man is dead and two others wounded in weekend gun violence in Chicago.
Raymond Tucker, 24, was walking in the 1900 block of East 79th Street around 3:45 p.m. Friday when two men got out of a vehicle and one of them shot him in the head, authorities said.
Tucker, of the 7900 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital soon after, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, an 18-year-old man was driving in the 2400 block of South Rockwell Street when he was shot in the back, police said. The man drove to nearby St. Anthony Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.
Just before 11 p.m. Friday, a 37-year-old man was shot in the right leg as he stood on the sidewalk in the 6800 block of South Wood Street, police said.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in “stable” condition, police said.
No arrests have been made in connection with any of the shootings.
