Man shot in vehicle on West Side

A man is in serious condition after he was shot in a vehicle Thursday in the West Side Garfield Park neighborhood.
The 20-year-old man was a passenger in a vehicle when shots were fired in the 4100 block of West Gladys at 8:40 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was driven to Loretto Hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the right side of the neck, Alfaro said. He was transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition.
No one is in custody and Area North detectives are investigating.
