Michigan Avenue bank branch robbed

A Michigan Avenue bank branch downtown was robbed Thursday afternoon.
About 1:15 p.m., the Citibank branch at 180 N. Michigan Ave. was robbed by a man wearing dark clothing, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
The robber did not show a weapon and he fled on foot, Mirabelli said.
There have been at least 28 bank robberies in the Chicago metropolitan area this year, according to the FBI.
