2 killed in Chicago in separate shootings

Two people have been killed in two separate shootings this weekend in Chicago. In the most recent incident, one man was killed and another wounded in a shooting at 6:15 p.m. Saturday near Western Avenue and Cermak Road in Little Village. One of the pair drove them to Rush University Medical Center, where the other was dead on arrival, police said. The surviving man was transferred to Stroger Hospital. No one was in custody. Earlier, around 7 p.m. Friday, a woman in her 20s was shot in the 1100 block of North Pulaski in Humboldt Park, police said. She later died at Mount Sinai Hospital.
