A man who was shot in both legs ran to a gas station for help early Monday on the Southwest Side, police said.
The 23-year-old man told police he was near Adams and Kostner in the West Garfield Park neighborhood when someone walked up and opened fire about 3:40 a.m. Monday, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Despite suffering gunshot wounds to both legs, the man was able to run to a gas station in the 400 block of South Kostner Avenue, where someone called 911, Greer said.
